On my return drive up the coast from California, I stopped at Bandon, Oregon, to photograph the seastacks. Bandon is one of the classic locations on the Oregon coast, and, indeed, I’ve photographed there many, many times. I don’t think I’ve ever gone past Bandon without stopping, if for no other reason than just to walk the flat, packed sand beach. On this location I was lucky…I arrived just in time for a great sunset.

John, great location and wonderful images. On the bottom of the top image and to some extent in the bottom image overall, the blue looks a bit unreal to my eyes, even on my calibrated monitor. I used to get carried away with the vibrance and saturation sliders, but nowadays I make a conscious effort to go really easy on them. Perhaps this represents your vision of what you saw. Thoughts?
I was wondering which PC-E lens you find the most useful (or use the most). Do you have a favorite among the three (24, 45, 85)?
It looks like it has been a great trip. It certainly has been photographically rich with some powerful pictures as always. I look forward to more pictures to come.
